Valentine's Day: Love is like an island.

San Valentín: El amor se parece a una isla.

Some dates don't need grand speeches. Valentine's Day is one of them. Not because of what's bought, but because of what it reminds us: that love—in all its forms—needs time, space, and a place to breathe.

Perhaps that's why, whenever I think about couples, I inevitably return to Menorca . To its coves that force us to slow down, to the paths that are best explored together, to that silence that can only be shared with someone who makes you feel at home. Menorca has its own unique way of transforming the everyday into something intimate.

In my illustrations of couples on the island, I try to capture just that: small moments that, unintentionally, become essential . A glance at the Cavalleria lighthouse, a walk along the Camí de Cavalls, a leisurely breakfast overlooking the port of Ciutadella. Scenes that speak not of perfection, but of trust.

Valentine's Day can be an excuse—or an invitation—to remember those moments that shape our story. It doesn't need to be celebrated with grand gestures; sometimes it's enough to pause for a second and recognize that, like Menorca, love also has its own rhythm.

Thank you for sticking around, for reading, for supporting this project that grows with every story we share.
